AMIRAH WADE REMEMBRANCE: Burnt Ember Rock Flower Anemone

Amirah was born on July 27th at 8:45 pm. She was only at 34 weeks at the time of her birth. Shortly after her birth we realized she had a very large inoperable tumor in her abdomen. The Dr’s at Mercy Children’s in St Louis consulted with Dr’s from around the world including St Jude’s. The consensus was to try chemo in order to try and shrink the tumor. After 3 weeks of treatment we realized it was not working and the tumor continued to grow, at 8:24 on Saturday August 24th she passed away. The entire family is devastated but we are thankful for the 4 weeks we spent with her, and she has forever changed our life.
